MessageBird, an omnichannel cloud communications platform recently valued at $3 billion, is increasing its M&A activity.
Following the purchase of Pusher, a provider of real-time web technologies, last year, it is now announcing the acquisitions of “video-first” customer engagement platform 24sessions and consumer data platform Hull.
The terms of the two additional purchases have not been announced, but MessageBird founder and CEO Robert Vis informs me that the three acquisitions total roughly $100 million, and we already know that Pusher was acquired for $35 million. I also hear that the 24sessions and Hull purchases resulted in the complete departure of both firms’ investors.
